Iphone extremely difficult to charge

There are three people in my house with iPhone's and lately they have all become extremely difficult to charge. We all have our own individual chargers. Every time we plug our phones in to charge, they charge for a second and then don't or a message will come up saying that it isn't supported. The same thing happens when the wire is plugged into a laptop. What should we do?

Try updating the software or restoring the phone (even a complete reset). Last thing I could think of is the batteries have lost their ability to charge. Charging your phones through a pc it should work if it installed the drivers and you've got the latest itunes

Ok, seen this before. There's something easy you can try, before going through the trouble of changing out the power supply in the phone. First, be sure the phone battery is drained completely. Then plug the phone up to a charger and leave for 4 hours. Don't watch it. That will drive you crazy. Once done, unplug and allow to drain completely again. Then recharge for 4 hours. Often times, when we don't allow our devices to complete the charge/discharge cycle appropriately, it will not charge efficiently anymore. If that doesn't work, get on Craigslist and search for a local person who has iphone parts that does repairs. They can repair it inexpensively.

If you are using cheap $5 chargers that are sold at the dollar store or convenience stores then that is the problem… We have 6 family members and a bunch of those cheap chargers we bought and they worked for a few days then started having the exact same issue that you are having… I bought us all chargers from Apple store and our phones charge in hardly no time now.
