IPhone got wet, speakers not working?

IPhone got wet a month ago, works perfectly after rice and vacuuming it, except no sound comes out from the speakers but I can still make calls with it. Other sounds from apps and the like can only be heard when headphones are on. Would it work if I used any of those iHorn amplifiers on this?

Put in rice for two days.

Take it to apple

Yes. My phone has gotten wet still have the same one. Speakers still broke. The only way the amplifiers will work is if they plug in your phone like the headphones.

Unfortunately most speakers are made of paper. So when they get soaked, they are not "fixed" by just drying out. Also they are sensitive to air pressure, and can be ruined by using a vacuum near them. Your choice is to stick with headphones or send to a repair center. This kind of damage is not covered by warranty, but could be covered by an after-market no fault plan if you bought one.

  • Speakers on IPad and IPhone not working? The speakers on my iPad 2 are playing sound, but it sounds almost as though it were silent. I put it on full volume, and it just won't play high at all! I would need to put my ear to the speaker just to hear something. Also, if I put in headphones, no sound at all plays. I'm almost positive it has nothing to do with the settings because I tried that already. The iPhone won't play any sound at all, and it had nothing to do with the mute button.
  • My iPhone 5s got wet but it still working. But the touch screen is a bit slow. Is it safe to use? I dropped my phone in water but pulled it out immediately. I powered it down, dried it off, and let it sit for 30 or so minutes. At first the screen was red but then turned on and everything works. The touch sometimes is unresponsive. Is it safe to use my phone? I'm letting it air dry by a window because rice can cause erosion… Should I use it?
  • My iphone 5s got wet and the speakers won't work really good it mumbles when it plays I had a huge water ballon and it popped in my pants and the my iphone got wet but it has a screen glass protector and only the speakers got wet help please what to do?
  • My iPhone 4S speakers got wet and aren't working? So what happened was I got some sour cream inside the speaker on the right. Now when I play music, it sounds muffled. I wiped it off, but I'm pretty sure that there's still some sour cream inside of it. Any suggestions on how to get my speakers sound normal again?
