IPhone Help? Should I get my iPhone repaired or should i just get a new iPhone?
I cracked my iPhone 6 screen and found that there was a weird black "liquid" moving around in there. I recently found out that my LCD broke. Should I get my iPhone repaired or should I just get a new iPhone?
Just get a new one and put a screen protector on next time
Just get a new phone
It would be cheaper to get the screen fixed than to get a new one. It's up to you.
You broke the LCD: Liquid Crystal Display. The word "liquid" is included for a very good reason. Break the screen badly enough and the liquid can ooze out.
If nothing else is seriously damaged then just replace the screen. You can buy them very cheaply if you order direct from China on eBay but you then have to wait at least two weeks for it to arrive and sometimes far longer. Or just take the phone to any phone repair shop. Apple can also do it but will charge far more and will routinely wipe the phone whilst doing the job.
Regardless of who repairs it, connect your phone to your host computer and use iTunes to fully back it up including all apps and then select the option to repeat the backup to iCloud so you have the backup safely stored in two locations. If your phone gets wiped by the repairer then it's easy to restore the backup onto the phone.
Find out how much it would take to do either & depending on which is cheaper or the difference in cost of doing either could make a decision then.
- Where to get iPhone screens repaired? My iPhone 4 screen cracked and even though it's minor damage, i don't know where to take it to get fixed and how much it would cost and how long will it take.
- Where should I get my iPhone 4 repaired? I have an iPhone 4 and they screen has been destroyed. The back glass has also been cracked, but I can fix that myself easily. Where can I send my iPhone to get repaired for a decent price? I have recently heard of the iResQ. Is this a reliable and well priced site to use?
- Where/how to get my iphone 4 repaired? I have been searching online for iphone 4 repairs and replacement parts, and every website advertises repairs for a cracked screen. My screen is not cracked at all but the white parts at the top and corners have been dented and gouged from falling. I'm assuming that a whole front screen replacement would be the only way to repair this, but I'm just wondering if there are any recommended sites or companies that would be able to fix it.
- Where can I get my iPhone repaired under $50? I'm constantly worried about my iPhone 5 breaking. I love this phone so much because it can do so much and is so high quality.
