IPhone home button not working? - 1
I have an iPhone 6s Plus and just out of the blue the home button stopped working. The strangest part is that the Touch ID still works but when I click the button nothing happens I've tried taking it apart and cleaning the ports and restarting it but it still won't work. Is there any way I can fix it
No. You have tried the obvious fixes but the fact is that the old-style clickable Home Button does sometimes fail exactly as you have described.
You have only two choices: get Apple or one of their Authorised Repairers to fit a new Home Button (only they can do that if you want the fingerprint sensor to work again) or live with what you have and use a virtual Home Button on the phone screen.
Settings>General>Accessibility>Assistiv… Touch>on.
You can drag and drop the button wherever you need it, I found it was least in the way near the top left edge of the screen.
I'd take it to an Apple Store.
Go to apple
Find a good repair shop and repair your phone or bring it to Apple service center.
