IPhone home button problems
Two days ago my home button was being a bit unresponsive. So I researched the fix and I read everywhere that rubbing alcohol on the button will clean it. So I did that and my button has got worse. I called Apple and they said to reset and I did that (no luck) or buy a mew one any tips?
I think you should leave the damaged part as it is and avoid doing experiments on it. They can even worsen your iphone. Better contact the Apple services. They might help you!
Either take it to the apple store and ask what the price would be to fix it or to an independent phone repair store.
My older iphone 4 have a broken screen and i took it to a phone repair store in my local area and it only cost me fifty pound to have it fixed which was very very cheap at the time.

- When I press the lock button OR the home button.iPhone? When I press the lock button OR the home button, my iPhone takes a screenshot. It does the sane thing when I press the lock and home at the same time, but I know that it's supposed to happen
- My home button and lock button don't work on my iphone 4 Okay so about 2 weeks ago my lock button stopped working and I don't know why so I went to mts store and they said to go to the apple store and i haven't been able to go yet and then tonight I was on my phone then I went to eat dinner so i put it in my sweater pocket then after dinner i took my phone out and it wan't responding! Is there anything I can do right now other than going to an apple genius? It's like 9 at night!

IIm afraid my home button will completely stop working soon enough, and i don't currently have money to replace it. I really only need the home function, but it would be really nice if it also had a screenshot function (because screenshots need the home + lock combo) Edit: If it makes any difference, my phone is an iPhone 3GS (old, lol) and has iOS 6.1.6.
