Iphone in the water aftermath?

Dropped my iphone 4s in a glass of water a few days ago. Fully submerged for ~2 seconds. I pulled it out dried it off and immediately threw it in a bag of rice overnight. The next morning it wasn't working so i plugged it in and got the vibration that an iphone does when it is connected to power. The screen, however, did not light up so i put it back in the bag of rice. I tried it a few more times over the weekend in 8 hour increments or so to no avail. I just left it sitting in front of a hair drier for 3 hours and another 1 hour earlier in the day. Still no response, even when hooked up to power. I'm wondering what to do as paying for a new iphone is simply not in the cards for me at the moment. Has it been short circuited? If so is there a solution?

This worked for me, try wrapping your phone in a paper towel, and then placing in the freezer, after 15 minutes take it out let it set for 5 minutes, and put it back in the freezer for another 15, finally take it out let it "thaw" and try to power it on.
