IPhone is getting replaced - how do I save data?
Hi. My iPhone 4S is getting replaced by carphone warehouse under warranty. But how and where do I save all my info before I give up the old phone e.g notes, calendar info, contacts, etc. Will a simple sync to iTunes save it All ready to put on the new 4s?
Open iTunes. Plug in the phone. When iTunes recognizes it, right click on the iPhone on the left of the screen, choose Backup. When you get your new phone and sync it in iTunes, do the same and choose Restore.
iTunes may do this automatically.
Yes. By syncing with your computer you will back up everything. When your new one arrives, simply plug in and 'Restore' from back up.
Another option is to back up to iCloud then you don't even need a computer. When your new one arrives you simply tap restore from iCloud. You can turn iCloud Back Up on in the Settings app on your phone.
Ask them to move the SIM card on your old phone to your new phone.

I've heard that when the front screen panel is replaced, so is the home button/touch id.
