Iphone message app completely broke?

This has started happening a couple hours ago, it started off with my suddenly not getting any notifications when i got a text (not even a blue dot beside the unread text message) and i checked the notification center was unaltered. But then I'd be texting someone for a bit, then all the texts i just sent and theirs too would disappear and end up showing me texts but missing like the last couple hours of texts i'd just been sending.

Now i've been sending texts and they won't even go through at all even though my signal is fine, when trying to imessage someone the send button doesn't turn blue but stays green whilst connected to Wi-Fi or 3g

I don't know what's going on, any help would be appreciated

I have an iPhone and I've had glitches like this before. Turn off the phone, remove the SIM card for a short while, then put it back in and turn the phone on again. If that doesn't work, reset your phone through iTunes. (Backup your music, apps, and contacts first)

  • Will my message be delivered if sent as text message on iphone? My friend said that she was having phone problems earlier today. My message was being sent as an imessage, but I guess she wasn't receiving everyone of them, just getting the notifications that they were sent to her but she couldn't read them. I then responded to her, but it was sent as a text message this time and i have gotten no response. I'm not as much concerned about her responding or not, I just want to know if she will receive the message.
  • Why won't my 5c send a message as MMS when it's a long message to a non iPhone user? Whenever I type a LONG message to an SMS user (says Text Message in the messaging "box") my 5c won't convert to MMS and the recipient gets the message in dozens of out of order messages instead of the whole fluid message. I have MMS on in Settings. What can I do and why is it doing this?
  • Why is my iphone making the message tone but no message? My iphone, for the first ever time made the message tone and I have no message? There's no app on my phone that makes the same sound either I have checked, apart from tweet on settings, but I don't even have twitter… I received a message 20 Minuits before this happened but I read it and replied… I have a lot of storage on my phone so it can't be that either… So what is it?
  • On the iPhone 4 does it say message read once a person reads your message? You know how it's like "message received at " and then whenever on the iPhone well on the iphone 4 does it say when and if the person read and received the message?
