Iphone not holding charge while off?

I got my Iphone 4 around Christmas time 2012. The charge stays fine while my Iphone is on. I can go two or three days when it is on. When I turn my phone off however, the charge will not hold for even 6 hours. When I'm trying to save battery I will turn my phone off before school. When I try to turn it on after school, it is completely dead. It is less than a month old and still has a warranty so I don't know what to do. My carrier is Verizon. Any help would be great.

I never even shut mine off ever. Why shut it off? If you want it silent just flip the little corner switch to make it silent, and then you should never need to turn if off.

  • Why is my Iphone not holding a charge after it has been on the charger all day? It tays on while it is on the charger but after disconnection it turns off. I did drop it in water months ago so I know this contributed but is it able to continue to hold a charge ever.
  • Why is apple holding my iPhone hostage? It keeps popping up a message saying "Storage almost full" You can manage your storage in settings. Like I already deleted so much stuff already. Also, why it gotta keep popping up its not even full. Like does it want me to overload the capacity or something? Is there an option to turn this bug off?
  • Why do my hands go numb while holding my iPhone? My hands oftenly go numb (more of a pins and needles feeling) while holding my phone for a while. Is this due to the radiation from my phone? Also, it's not the way I hold my phone because it goes "numb" in any position.
  • What could be causing my iPhone to not be holding a charge? It's an iPhone 4, and I've had it a few months short of two years. I've taken good care of it, it's got plenty of memory, updated software, I'm not running many apps (I double click the home button to close them often), but my phone's battery won't last at all lately even when I don't use it very often.
