IPhone not sending text messages

I just got an iPhone 4, and it won't send regular text messages. Like it sends iMessage to other iPhones, but if someone doesn't have an iPhone the messages won't go through. Any advice?

Try this. Go into your setting and then go into messages and make sure you have this turned on "Send as SMS" That allows regular txts to send when iMessage is not available.

Go into settings and then to messages and make sure Send As SMS is on it will allow you to send normal text messages to those who don't have an iPhone. You could also try going into the settings and clicking on the General tab and then going to Network and turn the Celluar Data off then on again to reset the connection with the cell towers to see if it will reestablish a better/stronger connection to allow messages to be sent/received. Try turning your phone completely off by pressing the top sleep/wake button and slide the red slider to the right and wait for 1 minute after it's powered off to clear out the phone's memory so won't be trying to combine old data/information with new data and information (it is overloaded and by shutting it off and allowing the phone to rest for a few minutes will allow all that information to be erased) Nothing like Contacts, Pictures or Apps will be earased just the temporary memory will be to allow the phone to function more quickly and be more responsive to what you're wanting it to do.

Thank you. Did this and my phone's now sending/receiving text messages again!
