IPhone problem with updating?

My last 4s broke 4 days ago and my new one came in the mail today, every time I keep trying to update it, it won't got all the way through and cancel. It was just about to finish at 2 minutes after waiting almost 3 hours, and it canceled. What can I do to update it quicker? Also, how do I get the count of contacts when like you go to contacts and at the very bottom there's a count? It bugs me without it there. How do you get it on?

You need to keep your iphone plugged in while updating or it will cancel.keep it plugged in at all times.

Maybe your Wi-Fi is to slow it happened to me so I went to the library and it did it just fine, to tell you the truth ios 6 isn't worth updating to!

Try to uninstall iTunes and reinstall it. When you go down to the bottom of your contact list just pretend like you wanna keep scrolling down and the count should pop up

  • Will updating my iPhone apps affect my phone speed as how updating the Operating System (OS) will? Currently I'm using the iPhone 5s on iOS 8.3 I know if I were to update my phone to the latest OS I may notice some slowdown on my phone's performance, since it may not have the "muscle" to handle certain functions. Many apps now are optimised for iOS 9 and/or the 6th generation phones. Will my 5s' speed performance slow down if I update my apps? Will the app's performance slow down?

  • What is the difference between updating your iphone on iTunes or in your iphone? So I'm trying to update my iPhone 4S and I don't have enough storage so I've heard that you can update it on iTunes. What I don't get is what difference does it make downloading it from iTunes or from your iphone directly
  • Updating iOS version on iPhone itself? Hi, I was wondering if I updated my iPhone to the latest version, on the iPhone itself; i.e, not going through iTunes, but rather by settings>update, will I lose my photos, contacts! And will I lose my jailbreak!
