IPhone SE working with different SIM?

My sister received an iPhone SE in the mail by accident, but her neighbor already received a replacement for it. She is wondering if she could repurpose it to work for her. The phone has packaging saying that it must be activated by the AT&T Prepaid service, and on the bill the phone already has the old number next to it. Could she theoretically unpackage it, take the Verizon SIM out of her HTC Desire 320, and put it into the iPhone instead?

I'm going with a no. It sounds like it is locked to AT&T so no other carrier's SIMs would work.

  • Two different computers, two different iTunes.can I use the same Apple ID? I have iTunes on my computer that I use for my iPhone, and my mon just got an iPod Touch and wants me to fill it for her. I'm going to use her computer to do this, which currently does not have iTunes. Once I download iTunes, can I use my own Apple ID to download songs and apps onto her iPod? Is it possible to do that without disturbing what's on my phone, or do I have to make a whole new iTunes account for her?
  • Putting my Sim card from an iPhone into a different iPhone? I'm an AT&T Carrier. I already have an iPhone 4 data plan that I'm paying on. Recently my phone has stopped working and until I can get a new one shipped my friend has offered for me to put my sim card into her old iPhone 4. Will AT&T charge me if I do this?
  • Jailbroken iPhone - Different sim cards won't work? I found an iphone 3G about a year and a half ago and tried to return it to its owner without any luck. Anyway I jailbroke it the other day with the latest version of redsnow using 4.2.1 and everything works find except for making calls and texts. It just either says sim locked or searching at the top left hand side of the screen, depending on the sim I put in. A phone store said the firmware I'm using is too recent. Could this be the case?
