IPhone showing searching even when SIM card put in?
I got this iPhone 4S from a cousin in USA
I live In India
She had put her sim in it earlier but when she gave me I put my sim In it but still it's showing searching even after putting the sim I can use the internet as well as I can call someone and receive calls then y is it showing searching? What to do about it?
My guess is that the phone is still "locked" into the carrier in US. You probably need to "unlock" the phone so it'll show the cell network/carrier's name on the iPhone
- How to restore when the sim card I put in my iphone says INVALID SIM? So I had done a factory unlock and the next thing I needed to do was restore on itunes with the sim card I want to use. But when I put the sim card in it says INVALID SIM. So how am I suppose to restore if itunes won't let me restore cuz my phone says that? How do I get rid of the invalid sim before restoring?
- Changing from normal sim card to iPhone 4 sim card? I'm an AT&T customer with a smart phone. I'm wanting to buy an iPhone 4 but I know they take smaller sim cards than normal phones. If I buy an iPhone from an individual, can I take it to AT&T and have them give me a smaller sim card & transfer my information? Would I have to pay extra for it? Is it even possible?
- Can you switch the iPhone 4 SIM card with an iPhone 4S SIM card? My mom has an iPhone 4S for sprint and I have an iPhone 4 for AT&T. Is it possible to switch SIM cards?
- Can you put a cut sim card into the old sim card slots? I have an iphone 5 and my sim card is cut down to fit into it. I want to be able to use my sim in my old nokia brick phone as well though because i'm attending a heavy metal festival next week and don't want my expensive iphone to get wrecked in the mosh. Just wondering if its at all possible.
