IPhone sound not working. Why?

I just got a new iPhone 5s the other day, and most sound is working. In my settings I have notification sounds and lock sounds turned on and my volume is all the way up, but when I get notifications there's no sound, only vibration. When I lock the phone there's no sound, either. Also, the key clicks will not make sound but I do have sound for key clicks turned on. None of these will work with headphones in, either. When I play music the sound will work on the outside speakers and while using headphones. Oh, and when people call me my phone only vibrates. So basically, no sound is working other than music. Why is this happening and how can I fix it?

  • YouTube sound not working when iphone is on silent? I've had my iPhone 4 for over a year now, and I've never had this problem. It started today, if I try to watch a YouTube video without headphones and the phone is on silent, there's no audio. But if I turn the ringer on there's audio. Obviously I've looked at the volume levels, and they're up. Like i said its only started today and it's very frustrating!

All of the other sounds are working fine, but the keyboard clicks, lock sound, and notification sounds are not working.   • Why is no sound coming out my iPhone. The only sound that comes out is the ringer or when I have headphones hooked up? I have a iPhone 6s. And I recently noticed that no sound is coming out my iPhone. The only sound that works is my ringer and when I have headphones hooked up. My phone is updated to the IOS 12. I tried cleaning out my headphone jack and speakers and it's still doing it.
