IPhone Statusbar signal bars?
Guys all I want to know are the meaning of the icons on the Statusbar on my iPhone 5. There's the signal bar then it says Verizon and then LTE. Does the signal bars have anything to do with my Internet (LTE) or do the signal bars just mean calling and messaging?
The 5 bars are for cell signal (including text messages).
The LTE is for the speed of internet you have. It doesn't show the exact signal strength.
LTE=fastest
3G=faster, defaults to this when LTE isn't supported in your area
E=Edge, slower and in places where 3G isn't supported
(small circle)=GPRS slowest data connection
- Why does my iPhone 4 have no signal yet has full bars? My phone is on EE and doesn't connect to the internet even though i have full 3g does anyone know why? I've tried resetting it everything and nothing seems to work it does this for about 3 hours a day?
- Sprint Iphone 4 goes from 5 bars to No service and Searching? I called sprint and they tried everything on their end and told me to reset the network settings, even resetting the entire phone, and nothing helped. I read somewhere that the antenna is touchy on these phones and wearing a case may help? I would like to hear any fixes and if anyone else has had these issues. It worked completely fine the first day I had it and then it just started losing service for no reason.
- No bars signal on iphone 4s o2? It has no bars, it doesn't say no service, but it has 3g now and then, please help its driving me crazy i have tried another sim in the phone and that is the same I have no warranty or anything i have bought the phone second hand
- My iPhone 4s Doesn't show any signal bars yet still has 3G? I have tried everything to fix it from restoring to resetting network settings, I have tried the SIM in another phone and the SIM works fully, however the other phone wasn't an iPhone… The signal bar looks as follows '_ _ _ _ _ VodafoneUK 3G' may I add that I'm on a TalkMobile tariff, I have had the iPhone for months now, and all of a sudden it has just done this, and it does it everywere!
