Iphone Stolen phone is on I have no tracking apps on it?

Any Ideas? Phone is on at the time it wasn't on earlier my cell was stolen in an office.

Apple usually is able to track the phone. Show them a receipt and see the model number to be able to track as long as the phone is not shut off.

click on your iphone

a map should pop up and show you where your iphone is located

You need to have set up Find My iPhone on your device prior to it getting lost or stolen. If you did, go to https://www.icloud.com/ in your web browser. When you log in, Find My iPhone will immediately begin trying to locate your device.
If you have not done that, applying some anti-thief app like ilostfinder is a wise choice.

It will take pictures of the thief when she/he tries to open your device and then send those pictures to your email.

  • What GPS tracking iphone apps (cycling and running) can be used without a 3G signal? I have been using both endomondo and mapmyride for my running and cycling. When I came to track my mountain biking neither of the apps would start a workout because I was out in the sticks with no network connection. I wasn't expecting any live maps, but was expecting either one of the above to be able to track my coordinates by GPS, to be uploaded later. Shame really because I like the apps. Do they actually works without a network signal and I'm missing something?

  • Stolen iphone offline - tracking via icloud? Hi a colleagues iphone was stolen today and they've given me their icloud details to try help track their phone. Its offline so i'm assuming its been turned off. if i check the 'notify when found' button will the thief know i've done this? I don't want to give them any idea that someone is trying to track them otherwise that phone is never going to be turned on.i'm also not doing 'lost mode' for that same reason. also what is the play sound option?
