IPhone texting internationally? - 1
I was wondering, if I'm connected to Wi-Fi do I still have to pay loads and loads of money to text internationally or is that only when I'm connected to 3G?
As long as you are using iMesaage and you are connected to wi-fi, it's free. If you are sending via conventional SMS (as to a non-Apple phone), or you are connected to a cell network instead of wi-fi, it is probably costing money.
If the person you're texting also has an iDevice with iMessage, then all iMessages will be free. If you're sending actual SMS messages, then that might cost you.

If they will, would it be free? Cause I plan on using it in Philippines. We're just going to buy a sim card. When I was with T-Mobile, they unlocked my phone for China.

But I can't download many apps I'd really like to get (Metacritic's, GameSpot's and Eurogamer's Iphone applications for example). It seems that they are only available in US Appstore. Is there any way to get those to Finnish iDevice? There are many more examples, I just named a few.
