IPhone trying to iMessage an android?
So I have a friend who recently switched over from an iPhone to an android and for some reason my phone is still trying to iMessage her and she's not receiving any of my texts. How do I make it so she just receives normal text messages?
Delete the contact and try entering it again. Make sure the number is entered as a mobile and not an iphone number when you type it in.
You can't. Basically your phone still shows her imessage as active. You would have to contact Apple. Or she can change her Apple ID password.
This is why you always restore an iphone before giving it up.
Go to your message settings. Switch the SEND AS SMS ON. And have your friend change her apple id password that does the job. Happened to me. That how I know.
- When Android user sends text to a mixed group of iPhone and Android users? A family member who is an Android user sent a text message to a large group of recipients, including me. The group has both Android users and iPhone users. I'm an iPhone user. Does this mean that I will receive everyone else s messages like an iMessage group, or will all messages go directly between the conversation starter and whoever is messaging him, without any of the other group members seeing what the other members said?
- Switched from iphone to android; imessage is screwing me? My girlfriend sometimes sends me texts that show up as imessages and i don't get those on my gs3. I turned off imessage on my ipad (i was getting her messages there) and that worked, but now sometimes she'll send messages that don't show up as imessages but i still don't get all of them. - IPhone keeps trying to send an iMessage? I have an iPhone and I'm trying to send a text to someone who previously had an iPhone but no longer does. If I turn iMessage off, I can't talk to some of my other contacts. So I do not have a SIM card, she doesn't have access to an iPhone, and I can't hit "send as text message" because my iPhone sends the message too fast.

At random times, whenever I try to iMessage my friend who has just a iPod Touch, where you type in the message will say "Text Message" instead of "iMessage." is there a way to fix this so it will always send as a iMessage instead of Text?
