Iphone water damage. Caught in the rain?
So i have an iphone 4s
and i went out for a walk with the weather being nice,
then it started to rain and hail really badly, and my iphone only had a bumper on but i had gone out in only leggings and a top so i couldn't put it anywhere to keep it dry.
Once i finally got to a dry place i noticed that the flashlight was constantly on and the camera had steam behind the glass so i know water has got inside.
i don't know if my insurance will cover this or not (insurance with barclays)
basically i don't know what to do now? I've turned it off and left it upside-down between 2 books.
any help?
This is going to sound crazy, but put your iphone in a lot of rice, and leave it out for a day. The rice will dry the phone if it is not to wet. Insurance probably won't cover it. I suggest if you do get it working again, that you invest in a otterbox, then you don't have to worry about water, or if you have to get another.
Easy c: go home, find a large plastic bag, fill it with dry rice (any variety will do), and put your phone in it and don't use it for a couple hours! My friend dropped her phone in the toilet on several occasions lol it always worked for her.
I have heard of people putting an Iphone into a bowl of dry rice. I assume the idea is it sucks up any water. They say it is lucky if it works. You have to leave it two days in the rice. One good thing is that rain is very pure water which minimises damage. It is worth checking the insurance.

I do, however, have an Otter box defender case, but i'm not exactly sure how it will work against rain. Is there any cheep way I can protect my phone?
- My screen is stuck on the lime rain charger and itunes screen? I tried jailbreaking with lime wire and it wasn't working so I exited out and wanted to turn off my iPhone and turn it back on but every time it comes back to the same screen. I just want it to go back can anyone help me please.
