IPhone went through washer. I tried turning it back on and no response. Now in dehydrator at 95F. Is there hope after trying to power on?

Try putting it into a bowl of rice-that should suck out the water.

The rice trick can work if the water didn't get too deep. If it was in the washer, kiss it goodbye. The dehydrator may be good, but it is more than likely that too much wet than the phone could handle.

If it comes back to life, yippie, trade it in and buy a new one, with insurance.

It's not going to work again so stop experimenting.

  • Why is my iPhone 5 turning off and not turning back on? This has happened twice now. My iPhone 5 has turned off in the middle of the night with a full charge and off the charger, and when I try to turn it back on it takes a couple tries. Has anybody experienced this?
  • Saving a iPhone that went through the washer? I stupidly put my iPhone 4 in the washer for about 10 min. I have it in a bag of rice right now. But out of pure shock i tried to turn it on a few times and it didn't work, Have i ruined my chances? What should i do?
  • My iPhone went through the washer? Last month my iPhone 4s went through the washer and just turned on and it says it's on 100 percent but when I take it off it turns completely off. And it says connect to iTunes… Can this new fixed?
  • My iPhone SE went for a swim with me - Any hope? So right now I'm in Outer Banks (beautiful area, my family rented a house with a pool and a short walk to the beach) and I went for a 5ish minute swim in the pool. Then my mom called me in to have lunch, and that s when I realized I f ed up. My family is big, so I had a bunch of suggestions being thrown at me at once, a bunch of them being the bag or rice. We don't have rice at the house, and nobody s gone food shopping yet. Is my phone a lost cause? Any advice would be a great help.
