IPhone won't receive group texts from non-iPhones?
My iPhone won't receive any group chats if someone else in the group doesn't have an iPhone. Why is this and how can I fix things so I receive group texts from all kinds of phones?
When everyone has an iPhone, the group texts can be managed entirely by iMessage. If anyone does not have an iPhone, the messages will be sent via cellular SMS or MMS, and not everyone will receive all replies. Many other smartphones are not capable of handling group texts, and only iPhones can do so with iMessage.
- Why does my iPhone sometimes send texts to other iPhones as iMessages then regular texts to iPhones? Like when I send a text to my friend that has an iphone, it usually sends as an iMessage then it will randomly send as just a regular text and it will be green and not blue.
- When sharing imessages with other iphones, can they also see green non imessage texts too? My parents and I share the same Icloud account and receive all my text messages to keep and eye on me. I know they get imessages but can they also receive the regular text messages that get sent to non iphone users?
- People with iPhones don't receive my texts? I had an iPhone 4 (at&t) then I put the micro SD card into my new Nokia Lumina 520 windows phone (its a go phone I got from best buy no contract) and for some reason all my friends with iPhones don't get my texts although I can get theirs. Any ideas why? Any help please?
- My iPhone 5 with AT&T won't receive group messages? Last Sunday I switched to AT&T from Verizon with my iPhone 5. Prior to this I can receive and send group messages without fail. But as of yesterday I can send messages into my group chat but I can't receive any at all. I can still text people outside the group chat but I feel like I'm missing out lol. Does anyone else have this problem?
