Iphone won't properly connect to my PC?

I have to restore my iphone4s but i want to get the pictures off of it safely first. When i plug my phone into my computer the window used to pop up asking me if i want to import my pictures. The problem is, its not popping up anymore and also when i go to My Computer, it does not show my phone at all… What can i do to make either that window pop up or my phone to be visible on My Computer?

First of all, do the backup thru iCloud.
Second, check out the USB ports and the cable to make sure everything works fine aside of the iPhone

You can backup your device through iCloud. If your device is not being recognized and you have properly installed the device driver software, put the iPhone in DFU mode by following this tutorial and restore.

  • New iTunes 11 won't sync iPhone and iPad properly? Ever since I updated to the new iTunes 11 a couple days ago. The apps don't sync properly within the two devices. It used to be that whenever I deleted an app from itunes it would automatically erase it from both of my devices. Now even if I delete a few apps they will still be on them and I have to go in them and manually delete them, its not that big of a deal but its a huge pet peeve.
