IPhone X costs $999. According to currency conversions it should cost £750, however they are charging £999. Why? - 1
Because people are willing to pay £999
Because the US price is before tax, while the UK price is after VAT. The UK version also includes a longer warranty because they legally have to, while in the US you need to buy AppleCare to get an equal warranty.
Mostly because they can, and they (Apple), knows people will pay anything to get that new phone.
Taxes, import duties, the strength/weakness of the USD to the GBP, etc.
- Where can I buy good quality iPhone screens and colour conversions? I need to find a trustworthy supplier for all types of iPhone screens. All screens must be good quality, have an LCD and touch digitiser pre-assembled and fit GSM versions of the iPhones. Prices must range from £20 for 1 screen or £30 for the full housing. I need a supplier that can deliver quickly in the UK and guarantee my satisfaction. Thanks a thousand times to anyone that can give me a good answer because I've searched for countless hours and all I can find are Chinese con artists.
- Was getting an iPhone XR ($750) value for free while paying full price for an XS Max ($1100) value a good deal? Considering my mom did this just last week before the iPhone 11 was announced today was this a good deal, I know the value of both these phones will go down but she liked getting the free phone for my sister.
- How to calibrate Night Sky 2 according to the actual sky I'm looking at? I recently purchased the night sky 2 app on my iPhone 5 because we're constantly stargazing and quarrelling over which star is which. The app says to calibrate it we must move the phone away from any interference or move the phone in a figure of eight. Is there a way of using location services and the app to find stars using my current location?
