IPhone X is on & locked, but won't unlock & screen won't lighten up. Its frozen?

I went to get food, starting my making a folder on my phone for Pizza, then when I got to naming it. It froze, after a bunch of button pressing trying to get it to show up again it never did. It occasionally unlocked but I think that was because of the FaceID recognition (only did it 2 times).

Anyways, is there a way I can let my phone be reset even though I can visualize what I do on the screen? It makes sound, is on, was never dropped. I don't know why I can't see my phone or get the lock screen to cooperate with me. :/

Reboot it.

Restart your iPhone X
Press and hold the Side button and either volume button until the slider appears.
Drag the slider to turn your iPhone X completely off. *
After your iPhone X turns off, press and hold the Side button again until you see the Apple logo.

Before you do anything else - this sounds like a classic FLAT BATTERY! Give it a full charge!

*Everyone has at some point thought their phone was on charge, but the lead wasn't fully in, so it dies or starts to play odd very early in the day!

  • My iPhone says its up to date but its not? I have the iPhone 4s and every time I go into settings-general-software update, it says my software is up to date with iOS 6.1.3! All my friends have gotten iOS 7 already! Why doesn't mine say I need to update to iOS 7! And how can I make it say that? And I know that the iPhone 4s can get it.
  • MY IPHONE IS FROZEN BUT ITS NOT? So I was trying to log into ifunny and then it froze. But I can take screen shots and change the volume but I can't exit the app or turn it off. Or interact with the screen. The screen will dim but never really turn off. It started this like 7 hrs ago and I left it plugged into the wall to charge while I was out and it still hasn't changed. What am j supposed to do? Is there any way to force shut down without using the power button? It's an iPhone btw

  • IPhone is locked and frozen? My iPhone 5s is locked and frozen p. I can still feel the vibrations and stuff. I can't reset it because my home button is broken. Anything I can do?
