Why do iPhones crack so easily? - 1
I have just noticed that most iPhone people used there phones even though the screen is cracked badly.
People drop and one crack forms so easily.
But most smartphones break easily.
But for some reason, Apple happens to break fast.
Do Samsung Galaxies break so fast?
Not having cases, and dropping them on hard surfaces like concrete tends to do that to thin glass.
Any unprotected smartphone screen that hits a hard surface or has a hard impact to it, will break the glass front or back of the devices. Thin glass while treated still breaks from impart. Gorilla glass is great from scratch protection, so are tempered glass screen protectors, but neither are good for impact protection, especially EDGE hits/drops and jolts. And the less of a bezel that surrounds the glass, the more likely that an edge drop is going to shatter the screen. Add no lip to the front of the phone's housing or case, and a direct blow to the glass from a drop, will shatter on the first second or fifth drop, depending on how it lands. So are they really breaking easily or are people just not being as care of the devices as they would with say a glass of wine over a white carpet?
Ever watch people trying to juggle several things in both hands, while trying to open a car door or door to a building, all while trying to see what's on their screen or carry on a conversation, only to drop something (normally the phone)? Or the people so proud of their new phone, they want everyone to notice it, so they refuse to put a case on it, when their first complaint about the new phone is that it is hard to hold on to because it is so slippery? Not by accident from the makers of the phone either.
The reason you may notice iPhones more often is they do show the big Apple with a bite out of it on the back of the phone, and they screens are spendy to fix, and most people are too cheap to spend money on getting the screen repaired, because they don't want to spend any more money over and above the phone bill and the monthly installments for the phone. That is why most people who have dropped many phones, still refuse insurance when they are checking out at the store with the new phone, but want to know if they can get it after the screen breaks or it falls into a toilet.
IPhones do not crack any easier than others, nor do they fall into toilets, pools, hot oil, milk, or anything else. Like the above answer, there are just people who are either very distracted, or Born Butterfingers. Every single day of my life since 1963, I have held a delicate musical instrument for hour after hour, practicing, rehearsing, performing, teaching. Since 1973, I have held a VERY EXPENSIVE and delicate music instrument as my profession (actually a series of them). I also have owned a bunch of cell phones and other sensitive pieces of electronics. I have NEVER EVER dropped any of them, cracked them, or anything else - because I'm CAREFUL. No scratches, water damage, dents, bruises, or anything else. And they all reside in appropriate cases; some only need a zip bag or a leather pouch, and some need really protective, padded cases. For my best concert flute ( which is worth a lot more than my CAR), I have a special interior-suspension flight and shipping case. It is protection - but I suppose that dropping it on a highway and have a succession of 18-wheelers drive over it might cause a crack. But unlike SOME of the idiots here - i seldom play in highway traffic. I have interest in finding out if this militarized case is waterproof, either - or would help by flute being dropped into a hot vat of FRYING CHICKEN OIL (that has GOT to be my favorite whining story form YA!).
I've owned 5 iPhones & dropped them a couple of times. 0 cracks. Of course any phone with glass on it is subject to cracking depending on the fall. Samsung, Sony, BlackBerry etc all are subject to this.
So don't know where "But for some reason, Apple happens to break fast" comes from.
If anything because the last 3 Galaxy S phones are made from glass front & back they are even more susceptible to breaking than an iPhone.
What you are looking at is probably a tempered glass screen protector
You must hang out with a lot of careless people.
- Why people like iPhones? I can't never get people who like iphones to give a good reason, why? Some say it easy, but a lot have no clue on how to use their own phones. Can someone explain something useful that great about iphone? Everything they think is special other phones have been doing for years.
- Why don't iPhones work well? IPhones break easily and are laggy? Hi. I have an iPhone 5 and I have many problems with it. Whenever I type on my iPhone 5, the texts that I type come out like 5 seconds after I type them. It's very unresponsive and lagging. My previous iPhone broke in just 2 years. Is Nokia a better brand than Apple?
- Why does my iPhone sometimes send texts to other iPhones as iMessages then regular texts to iPhones? Like when I send a text to my friend that has an iphone, it usually sends as an iMessage then it will randomly send as just a regular text and it will be green and not blue.
- Why does Iphone 6+ takes up battery easily? I had been using 5.5 inch android phones and it lasted few days without charging. Then I switched to Iphone 6 plus and drains the battery in 24 hours.
