Is 1 gig per month enough for the iphone 4?

So today i asked at a optus shop for an iphone 4 and they said for 40 dollars monthly you will get like 200 and somthing minutes worth of calling and i think unlimitted text but 1 gig per month. I don't know if this is enough, my parents said it wasn't but i see on the internet that it is. All i will do is go on internet when i'm not home. Surely 1 gig won't take that much. Like i'm only going to go on facebook/qoohme etc.

Added (1). And also if i'm out i would only be using it for maybe, 10 minutes not even but nothing more? Is that still enough gig

If its just Facebook and not videos such at YouTube you should be good

Yea if its just facebook etc and no vids or live streaming you will be fine

1 gig won't be enough even if your just using Facebook all the time because your still running through your 3G. I would get something higher so you don't go over, that's when your bill gets pricey

If you are just browsing, 1g is way more than what you need. If you are going to be downloading tv shows or movies or things like that, its not enough.

  • Is the 8 gig iphone 4 enough for me? I would probably use 10 apps at most, and i have 338 songs, and i take some pictures and videos, would it last?

My brother and I browse the internet, we don't download games and rarely download applications (unless it's from the apple app store for my MacBook). Our browsing is quite heavy-use though. I'd say I spend around an hour every night on my laptop, and my brother spends around four hours. WIll 40GB be enough?
  • How much per month would an iphone cost me? I'm on a family plan with At&T and we have unlimited texting. How much would internet cost? (limited and unlimited) Also please explain 3G and 4G to me? I don't understand what that is… Does it cost extra?
