Is 750mb enough for an iPhone 5?

Does the phone randomly use this at all?

As a guide, with a data allowance of 750MB, you'll have enough to send and receive around 5, 000 emails or log into Facebook up to 10, 500 times. Or you could view 100 five-minute YouTube clips - or roughly 1, 600 standard web pages.

The phone will also use data for software updates and some apps use it as well.

If you always use wi-fi at home or where available, then 750mb is probably enough usage for general out and about usage per month.

I use more than that a day on my galaxy s2 lol if you use Wi-Fi at home and outside where possible then that'll last just fine as long as you're not a heavy user like watching videos a lot.

Hope you are well.

750MB is rather a lot of data. Just to give you a rough idea it is equivalent to sending approx 750, 000 emails (without attachments) a month or viewing heavy content webpages 2250 times a month or even streaming 5.25 hours of high quality video a month.

If going over your allowance is something that worries you, you can always switch to Wi-Fi when doing anything 'data-heavy' such as streaming or downloading. That way your MB's can be used as travel data when you're out and about or not in a Wi-Fi area.

Some things to be aware of if you're not on Wi-Fi is doing software updates. These are usually quite data heavy, so it's always recommended to use your Wi-Fi or update via iTunes. Also be aware of any Games and Apps that connect to the Internet as this can be running on your data.

There are also ways to check with your Network how much data you have left. You can call your Network's customer service team or download an app to measure your data use. If you are close to exceeding your allowance, some networks may be able to add on an extra bundle of data for an additional charge to save yourself running up a bill if you are on a Pay Monthly contract.

I hope this has been useful for you.

  • What could I do with 750MB and or 1GB? I want to get an iPhone 5 for Christmas but I don't know which contract to get? I use my phone a lot everyday and would use it a lot if I had an iPhone, for twitter, Facebook, instagram, tumblr and most other apps too. I don't which contract to get either the 750 MB or 1 GB because I'm scared I would go over the amount so which one is best and what could I do with both?! (both contracts have unlimited texts, just the amount of data and the minutes change) Thank-you
  • Is the iPhone 4s 16gb enough memory? I would hold about 300 songs or more? for games, i'd have maybe 20 or more if i could find some good ones. for pictures, i take a lot of pictures, but i'd end up putting the majority of them on my facebook so it wouldn't really matter if i had to delete them on my phone. for videos, i wouldn't take a lot of videos, but if i did they'd go on facebook, so it wouldn't really matter. is the 16gb enough?
