Is a mac mini good enough for Programming?

Hi! I'm looking in, to purchasing a mac mini in a few months, and i had some questions about it. My main purpose of this mac is for programming (iPhone, iPad, iPod, and Mac app store apps) I also will be using it for Unity, and blender. I will not play alot of games on here Just a couple steam games. And I would like to use Garageband, iMovie, and a few other app store games and apps. Is the Late 2012 $599 mac mini good enough?

Certainly. Mac Minis are powerful enough to support the software requirements for everything you need. At my college, late 2011 Mac Minis were used to power high-end video software (Adobe Premier Pro and After Effects), which was a real resource hog, but they coped well. The software you want to be using will run smoothly, and you won't notice any performance issues with it.

It doesn't run.NET and a lot of other stuff you need

  • What's the difference between Apple TV and Mac Mini? Can you get Microsoft word for apple Tv? Can you surf the internet? Also, if you can surf the internet by using an iPad for iPhone but use a keyboard and mouse?
  • Objective C Programming - want to learn how to make an iPhone app (beginner)? I always wanted to learn how to make an iPhone app, but for that I need to learn Objective C, would appreciate any online tutors or guidance if any.
  • Mac Mini Vs Windows 8 Computer? I have an old windows xp computer. It's going to die soon, I just know it. I want to get a Mac Mini, we have 2 iPads and a few iPods, and might get a few iPhones. We're well integrated with Apple. I watched the keynote and I'm excited for the continuity features. I want to get a Mac, but we might end up getting a windows pc. I like windows 8' but I prefer a Mac. What should I do?
  • Is a 16GB iPad mini enough space if I already have a 16GB iPhone 4s? So I'm in the market to get an iPad mini and I'm very hesitant to spend the $100 extra for 32gb since I already have a 16gb iPhone 4S.Am I correct in this thinking? And how could I allocate storage between the two devices if it is enough?
