Is an IPhone 3, or 4 worth anything?

There's also folders, a personalized home screen, Game Center, iBooks and much, much more.

About same…

IPhone 3G, 3GS, 4 and 4S are obsolete according to Apple which means…

No iOS updates, no security patches and no repair and/or battery replacement.

If you're willing to sell them then… Well, anywhere from $20 - $40 sounds about right (Depending on the condition). And if you're willing to buy them then…

Don't. Just don't.

Get at least an iPhone 6 with a bigger display as it'll get updates for at least 1 or 2 more years. 5S ain't too shabby either because it runs on iOS 11 and quite reasonably so but still; it won't get any future updates and it'll be DEAD when Apple release iOS 12 Beta later this year.

Hope it helps.

NOPE someone buying a iphone 3 or 4 is like buying a flip phone

Possibly not

It's worth something, not much but it'll be something. More than likely it'll be used to as a jailbroken device or a security camera.

There's no "iPhone 3". Its either the 3G or 3GS you are referring to & depending on which the value would differ of course.

Yes both are worth something of course. You could try checking eBay to see how much they go for these days.

Check ebay

Not to me, I want a phone which is "mainstream".

I'm using the iPhone 4s and most apps work on it. I can watch TV on it, take an ok photograph and surf the web as well as play games on it. Music is great an podcasts. The list goes on and on, satnav. It's the main phone I use and it does everything I throw at it. It's not worth much money, £50 on eBay, but as a useful phone it's great. My other phones are an iPhone 3G which is very limited. That just plays music and goodie translation, oh I can play SketchMan on it. Other than that the 3G is limited. My last phone is a Nokia N8. An amazing feature phone that is great as a media centre. That has hdmi out and Dolby 5.1 sound. They are all unlocked to any network so that makes them more useful.
Within 6 to 8 months I expect Apple to have dumped the 4s though.
