Is anyone else bothered by people saying that this generation sucks?

I find it really aggravating when people say things like, "this generation sucks, the music is terrible, people do stupid things, and popular trends are so dumb, I wish I grew up in the 70s.". Maybe I wouldn't be so fazed by this if it weren't for that so many people I know say it. I feel like there's a common consensus that our generation is terrible and we're so lazy because of all the new technology. But what a lot of people don't realize is that 30 years ago people had technology that they couldn't live without.

I know that this seems dumb and going nowhere, but it just really bugs me when people say that and fail to see that they're being kind of close minded.

Or who knows, maybe I'm being close minded…

Added (1). Also, when people say youth have so much and little respect for others, it is a common view of youth. This idea has been around for centuries. Socrates even wrote about it.

Nope, not bothered at all. This generation is more worldly, yet, not mature in age comparison to their counterparts of previous generations. They have a mind of their own, and may be less color blind, however, they neither volunteer to help or donate to causes. Its why so many long standing community orgs are failing (i.e., Scouts, Lions Club, Rotary, Little League, etc) due to no takers in this generation to uphold and keep them going.

It's a "what's in it for me" syndrome, and forget chores at home, everyone around is the maid. Time well spent to this generation is to respond to every Facebook contact, keep music in their ears to avoid oral response to a voice of authority, and so many do not realize that toilet paper, milk and bread does not grow in their home but has to be bought by the toiling adults of their lives. Gone are the day when everyone helped each other to get along, to make it through disaster, and to applaud the achievements that were hard earned.

This generation DOES suck. From the sense of unearned entitlement. To the general apathy and overall laziness. To the extreme lack of actual (non-social media related) interpersonal skills. Etc Etc ETC.

The technology I couldn't do without growing up was my bicycle and my tool kit.

This generation does suck.Unearned entitlement coupled with ingratitude, BS ego, lack of respect for others, prefer independance instead of communality(being of a community) etc.
Basically, they are technologically forward but in terms of wisdom, moral etc. Are backwards.

By the way, I'm 15.

I just don't like the way the world is. And i hate the way it's going to be even more.
