Is Capitalism the wrong way to go?

A lot of people like capitalism, but I think it's kinda greedy. I mean, 90 percent of people that walk past homeless people don't do anything. Most of them have money in their pockets. Enough for a house and car. An iPhone 6 even. But not a dollar to spare for a man without food.

I had a math tutor once. They helped me with my math grade, and acted friendly and I thought they were my friend. Of coarse, they were being payed $20 each session. Did they Really care about me? No. Without the money, they wouldn't be there.

Now, I understand feeding your family and buying clothes, but it just doesn't sit right with me. Acting like you're friends with a little kid with the goal to get a new TV/car/headphones.

Perhaps were could have a point system. Forget paper money. The government should issue thin, metal bracelets that have numbers on them like a credit card. We work, and we get points. If we build 200 toys one day, we get payed a certain amount per toy. The more toys built, the more points we get.

Unlike money, however, it is illegal to make transactions with another human. You can only buy from government approved places, with set prices on everything.

I dunno, just some ideas. Anyone else get uncomfortable when people are greedy? Any proposed ideas? Maybe a modified version of communism.

Capitalism is awful, but it is the least awful system we could come up with.

It has shown to be the only system that works efficiency, durably and on a large scale
and that brings the most riches to the populations
It needs some counterpower for sure, but not to the extent of chocking it. Keep it
preciously, and also its twin: democracy!
