Is EE and 3G different networks?

On my iphone it says 3 and 3G so what network is it?

and my blackberry is EE

3G means that you have built in wi-if within the phone
EE is T-mobile and Orange combined network

Essentially yes, EE is a combination of Orange and T-mobile, 3G is a faster network operated by most, if not all companies and will work on compatible phones with 3g sim cards

EE is the combination of Orange and T-Mobile networks who have come together to provide 4g connectivity to mobile phone users in the UK.

3G is the internet connection that iPhone connects to via your service provider, and is offered by every major mobile phone network in the UK.

If you want to find out more about 3G & 4G you can visit our blog where it might help explain everything a bit more clearly for you. Here's the link: http://blog.dialaphone.co.uk/

Hope that helps.

  • Will any Ireland Mobile Networks support L. T. E (4G) or iPhone 5? The question pretty much says it all. Does anyone know if any Irish networks (I know Vodafone and O2 are not) supporting LTE:4G data? Specifically for the iPhone 5. Leave the fanboy troll comments at the door, a simple yes/no specifics are what I'm after.
  • Two different computers, two different iTunes.can I use the same Apple ID? I have iTunes on my computer that I use for my iPhone, and my mon just got an iPod Touch and wants me to fill it for her. I'm going to use her computer to do this, which currently does not have iTunes. Once I download iTunes, can I use my own Apple ID to download songs and apps onto her iPod? Is it possible to do that without disturbing what's on my phone, or do I have to make a whole new iTunes account for her?
  • How to unlock my iphone 5 to all networks and how long will it take? Wondering how long it would take and how much it would cost also what I have to do, thanks. I'm on Vodafone by the way
  • How to hide Wi-Fi networks on an iPhone or ios device? I live in an apartment building, and everybody has their own Wi-Fi network. As I do not plan to ever sign-in to "Bobs House" or "Suzies Living Room", I want to hide them, as my iOS dashboard has about 30 networks to filter through to find mine in the list.
