Is imessenger really free on iphone?
I'm texting my cousin that lives in Virginia in the US and I'm from London. I've used imessenger before but only to my friends in London but we both have unlimited texts anyway so even if imessenger wasn't free I wouldn't be charged because of the unlimited texts.
She's telling me it's free and I have read on the apple site that it's free. But just to make sure, I don't want to go over my bill without knowing. When the text box turns blue, does it mean it's free?
Yes it is free when you and the person you are texting has internet and of course an iPhone. When you send a iMessenger the message will show in blue not in green.
If your texting someone in the uk it will be free for you just make sure they have an iphone and you have Wi-Fi. I text my family from mexico through imessage and its always been free and i haven't been charged for texting to other countries
If you use iMessage via Wi-Fi it is free, but via 3G there will be a charge
