Is iPhon 5s still worth buying in 2017?

I currently have iPhone 5 with iOS 10. It is six times faster than iPhon 4s in iOS 8/9
However. My iPhone 5 is still fast but i'm just tired of it and want to upgrade to a newer one

Is iPhone 5s gonna get more OS updates like iOS 11 and iOS 12?

iPhone 6/6S and iPhone SE i know they are faster but they are so expensive doubling the price of an iPhone 5s.

Another year, another Iphone. Keep the 5 unless you have money to throw away.

Wait until you can buy a 6S+ because the 5 and 5S are too similar. It'd be like buying the same phone because it looks and feels the same.

I have a 5C (basically a plastic 5) and my mom has a 5S. I can't really tell any difference between our phones.

The 5s is still getting software updates but has been discontinued and won't go on forever. The current low end is the iPhone SE, which has the faster chips from the 6s but lacks the pressure-sensitive screen. $399 cash price gets you 32GB these days.

We all know that iPhone 5 Is faster than iPhone 4S even it runs iOS 7 LOL.

Even iPhone 5S is 64 bit, it is only CLOCKED at 1.3Ghz and still 1GB RAM same as your iPhone 5.
iPhone 5 and 5S in iOS 10 are almost same speed, in some test iPhone 5 feels faster because 32 bit requires low ram than 64 BIT. It's just like you want an iPhone 5S ONLY For Touch ID Feature
For me i won't buy anything lower and older than iPhone 6.
iPhone 6 has so many features. The 6S has also 3D touch, while iPhone 6 doesn't even the SE.

And also iPhone 7 by half and iPhone 6 and 6S will be even cheaper. When iPhone 8 Comes
Might as well if you want to upgrade Get AN SE it will last you 2 or more years than iPhone 5S. IOS 12 will most likely not support iPhone 5S anymore since it is only 1.3Ghz while newer Phones are 1.4Ghz.
And also iOS 11 will DOG the 5S like a Turtle so slow, and will overheat it's aging A7 Processor.

  • Will Apple still be upgrading the product iPhone in the year 2017? Is there a possibility that there will be iPhone 7, iPhone 7s and so on. Does this mean they will not stop upgrading iPhone and still be selling them at 2017 and so on
  • Why am I not getting notifications on my iPhon 5s? Yesterday, I upgraded my phone from an iphone 4s to an iphone 5s. It seemed to take forever to transfer everything over and to set up the new handset. Everything is now set up and I have loggd into everything through the apps (facebook, twitter, instagram etc) however, I'm not receiving notifications on the 5s but am still getting them through on the 4s. What do I do to rectify this?
  • When you give APPLE a defective IPHON do they give you a reconditioned one back? My IPHONE had a defect, still under warranty, so I took it to an Apple MAC store and after a few days they gave it back, supposedly repaired. Now the replaced IPHONE has a problem, different than the previous problem I'm now having a problem with the taking a photo. Do they just replace your phone with a reconditioned one they say no but?
  • Is the iPhone 6s worth getting in 2017? I'm planning on get my first iPhone soon w used iphone 6s or plus variant. Basically anything above the 6 is way to expensive. I basically use my current phone all day sometimes a whole class period which is around 45 minutes. I don't really play much games but I browse the web a alot. I also always carry a power bank on me if I need to charge my phone
