Is iPhone 5 sold in the US better than those sold in China in quality?

I know that most of apples products are manufactured in China. But is there like any slight difference?

IPhones are made in China in reality. USA just sells it. If it was made in the US, just 1 phone would cost $15, 000!

As long as its a real iphone then no, they are the same. There are fakes out there though and those are junk.

There are no differences in quality (if it's a genuine iPhone of course) but you might find they are locked to different carriers depending on where you get it from. You want to make sure if you are taking it out of the country, it is completely unlocked.

One other thing to think about is whether it is GSM or CDMA. This will effect the kinds of frequencies it will run on, and therefore may limit what kind of data networks you can connect to, etc.

For example, in the US, a phone bought through AT&T would be GSM and through Verizon would be CDMA.

I believe most countries outside of the US operate on GSM networks, but you would want to check up on what carrier you plan on using the phone with. Easiest way to tell, look at the iPhone 5 specs on that carrier's website. You should see what type of network it runs on.

These slight differences in parts can also affect how easy it is to repair the iPhone depending on what country you live in. AppleCare is world wide, but if you get the phone repaired in a country that does not sell that exact model, it might not be able to be repaired on the spot.
