Is it a good idea to ask for donations on ebay?
I want to ask for donations to help me get an iphone 5, but I'm not sure if its a good idea or not. Please answer!
I'm pretty sure it against the rules.ebay is for buying and selling things, not begging for money for stupid things.

I don't know. I wouldnt do it because its pretty lame. All you do is get a freaking job and save it and buy it. I did it and so did everyone else.

Who is going to toss you money so you can have the latest telephone anyway. Go out and get a job. Have a yard sale. Pick up scrap metal. Earn your money. Begging for money for a luxury item is highly frowned upon.
You can only take donations for legitimate charities like St. Jude or Habitat for Humanity. You can't use it to beg for money. That's why it's called a "donation" and not welfare or a handout.

It depends on why you're asking. If it's a test to see how quickly you can get your account suspended, it's a great idea.
