Is it bad to own an iPhone 4 in 2013?
Okay. I just got an iPhone 4 (because it was free) now all my friends are saying it sucks and I should have gotten a 5 because its going to be 5 years old when my contract ends. Are they right?
Its okay ik a lot of people that still use it.

I have an iPhone 4 as well. It's not bad. And joke with your friends back, who have the 5, that they'll make the iPhone 6 in a couple months or so (I really don't know if they will e making it that soon) but it always seems that once a phone comes in, a newer comes in and that's the new trend. Also, tell your friends that they're doing EXACTLY what Apple and every other brand wants them to do, which is harass people to buy the newer edition of something so you keep buying their stuff more and more. The basic 4 is okay. I'd rather have this, and have gotten it free, than have to pay $700+ on a new phone that will be out of style shortly. They all do the same things sort of speak. Think of it like a car, does it get you from Point A to Point B? If so, that's all that matters. All the other nice stuff is cool, but don't waste your money on something when you have the item to begin with.
The iPhone 5 is almost the exact same as the iPhone 4, there's like two new features and it's a whole inch bigger.
The iPhone 4 is definitely a better choice, plus you got yours free!
Alot still use 3GS so yeah 4 will be used for several years to come.

- Thoughts on buying iPhone 1st generation in 2013? Not to use as a phone! (I have the OG Atrix for that) but as a collectors item/something that could hold alot more value in the future. You can get the original iPhone for 50-80 dollars on ebay in pretty good condition, do you guys think that buying a few of them to hold on to would pay off at all in the future (5-10 years from now) when people will begin to want them as collectors items? Or does it not really matter at all once they've been used does that make them junk?
