Is it bad to take your iphone to the beach?

Yes.
If exposed you will find sand on the speakers, a pain to clean

I suppose. First there's the sand that can get in everywhere, and also the iPhone shuts down if exposed to too much sun. It overheats and shuts down as a defense mechanism. So you can't really get much use out of it because it has to be in your bag anyway right? To protect it from the sun and the sand

It's not necessarily bad, but you're risking having it damaged, stolen or lost. Do you really need it at the beach?

  • What should I do with this iPhone 5 I found at the beach floating in the ocean? I found an iPhone 5 at the beach, floating in the ankle-deep water. It was completely water-logged and looks like it may have been in the ocean for days or weeks. Of course doesn't power on, has corrosion on the external ports. What should I do with it? Can it be used as a trade-in on a new iPhone 6? Don't know carrier either.
  • Turtle Beach XP500 Presets and Bluetooth? I've been trying to use my XP500s as regular headphones with my iPhone via bluetooth and getting them to sound better using the preset feature. However, not matter what I do to the presets, the headset doesn't seem to sound any different. Do the presets not affect the bluetooth/bluetooth without the receiver in range? Would I be better off just buying actual headphones(Sennheiser 419/229s)?
