Added (1). Do you think it's better to buy iPhone on contract? I think it won't be that big shock for my finances as if I spend 600 pounds on it.

I like it better because I stay with the same provider for 2 years anyways, so the contract is no big deal for me and the big discount is worth it in that case.

Currently all carrier want customers to pay full retail for phones. Verizon, ATT and T-mobile have finance options. Sprint leases its phones.
None of them offer contracts anymore
