Depends on whether you have the cash and don't need it for other things. The 2-year plans are usually interest-free so there's no particular disadvantage other than you having to make the payments every month for 2 years.

If you have the money to buy up front I would do that. The only benefit really is that you can take the phone else where if you wish with out having to pay it off later. And your bill will also be cheaper
