Is it fair for them to take away my iPhone?
I have an iPhone which I pay for with my own money which I do chores to earn. I spend pretty much all of my money paying for it monthly. When I go back to school I will only be allowed to use my phone on weekends and on weekdays they will keep the phone. I think this is extremely unfair as I pay my own money, it is such a waste, and besides this is not what we agreed to when I bought the phone. I think this is unfair and how can I persuade my parents not to do this.
Thanks.
Added (1). I do not use my phone at school anyway. I'm also not attached to my phone at all. I admit I did use it a lot in the past but nowadays my mum uses her phone a lot more than me (but it was my dad's idea)
It is fair. Parents do not have to pay children for doing "chores". Everyone in the family should do their part. The phone is therefore actually being paid for by your parents.
Tell them you will only use it for emergency and then do just that. School is not a place to play with your phone. They can easily check online to see if you are following your promise.

It is fair. You do anything they want if you live under their roof. Sucks but hey, thats life.
Your parents want you to focus on school and not turn into one of those obnoxious people who are so attached to their phone they can't manage a face to face conversation with anyone anymore. Believe me that's the best set of rules for a kids with a phone. Keep your eyes on what needs to be done in school and go out and enjoy your friends. Doing something other than looking down at a phone texting and FBing worried that your missing something.
If you did not do anything wrong, then no, it isn't fair for them to take it away if you are paying for it yourself.
You should ask your parents what you did wrong recently, that caused them to decide to take your phone away on weekdays.
It is possible they could be taking it away, probably because they suspect you are using the phone too much, or your grades may be falling, or something like that.
Of course it's fair - they're the boss, not you.
And just to save you any further delusions about your own money - you don't have your own money or your own anything else as ong as you are under 18 and living under their roof.
