Is it normal for an ipad to take longer to get it fully charged than an iphone?

I just bought a used ipad and compared the two charging and the ipad took longer to charge. Don't know if this is normal or if my ipad is defective.

Well it is way too obvious that the Apple iPad takes considerably more time to charge fully as compared to the iPhone. However, the difference is increases or decreases according to the version of the iPad and the iPhone u're using. For example, if you're using an iPhone 3g s n iPad 1, you would notice that the iPad will take much more time as compared to your phone.

hope this helps./

Duh. It's an iPad. There's a big difference between them.

The iPhone 4 battery is 1, 420mAh, and the iPhone 4S battery is 1, 432mAh. Compare that to the iPad 2 with 6, 944mAh, and the iPad 3 with 11, 666mAh, and you'll see why it takes longer to charge an iPad.

  • Why won't my iPhone turn on until it is fully charged? So I have a second generation iPhone with the iOS4.3 software. If my phone ever dies, I will plug it in, and it will give me the "dead and not charged enough to turn on" picture. If it is charging for twenty minutes, and I unplug it, it will still say it is dead. My phone will only turn on when it is fully charged, It is really inconvenient. Why does it do that? Can i fix it or is it some glitch that came with the phone?
  • My new iphone died, altough it was fully charged I have only been using my iphone 4s for 4 days, and yesterday it died. The battery was fully charged and i was using it only minutes before it died. When I checked my phone minutes later I could not turn it on and the iphone felt very hot. I tried charging it today and after a while it started charging again, but now at 5%. What could have happened? Should I send it back?
  • My iPhone 5 is fully charged but won't turn on? It only turns on when its plugged into the charger. When i take it out it shuts off and doesn't turn on, even when its fully charged. When i try to turn it on, without the charger, It will show a white screen with the apple for about 5 seconds and then go blank and not turn on. Acting as if it was dead. Should I bring it to the apple store, or buy a new charger/battery? I have no idea why its not working. (no warranty i bought it online) (its a verizon phone if that helps)
  • My iphone 4 won't turn on, but I know it's fully charged. What should I do? My phone will not turn on. It was being a bit glitchy the night before but I ignored it. Anyways, whenever I plug my phone into my charger, it vibrates but I can't turn in on. The screen stays black. What should I do?
