Is it normal to always upgrade and buy the newest phones?

Wanna get an IPhone 10! All I got right now is IPhone 8! Think I should get the 10?

They stop making the old models.

There's going to be new phones that release this fall. So wait until they announce the new models then see which ones you want.

but yes, some people do upgrade their phones every year to the new model.

It isn't normal for me.

It is

If you can afford it, go for it.

New it is a waste of money especially when so many iPhone fans are choosing the 8 because there have been blog posts about Apple not continuing the X

It's fairly normal in Western society, yes. However, you should ask yourself if you really need it, or are you just buying it to show off to your friends and strangers?

Either way you will have to upgrade once your done paying off your phone because your mobile service provider cleverly designs app updates that deliberately overwhelm your phone's software as well as hardware. If you've had phone troubles in the past you will come to find that your phone most likely stopped working following an app update

I don't care, as long as I can talk & text on it. So I haven't bought a phone in 20 years, I just get her hand-me-downs & that's fine by me.
