Is it normal to cry over jealousy?

My friend has gone to Florida for 2 weeks and everytime I see a photo or even think about it, I burst into tears. She has her own villa with a pool and is going to all the Disney parks. She makes out her parents are broke from buying the holiday yet she gets a laptop and loads of other things for Xmas and an iPhone and loads more for her Bday. She is having the best time in the world and I'm sitting here, haven't been outside the country for ages and doing nothing. My mum is always working and my sister does my head in. Everyone around my is on holiday. I cry and cry every night and its only been 3 days of her in Florida.

Cry! It makes you feel better

It doesn't sound like depression. It sounds like you are jealous of what she has. Be grateful for what you have. Get outside and get some fresh air--you'll feel better. Go do some volunteer work.

It sounds like you are depressed and a little jealous; however, more like sad because you are not having any fun. Go out and do things that you like to do, such as riding a bike, go exercise, volunteer at a daycare or any other place and enjoy being around other people. Sounds like you like being around people and having fun.

So, stop thinking about your friend and think about what you can do to have fun. School is almost here, so ride your bike (if you have one), go to the library and even do community service somewhere, I'm sure there's a website in your community that might have ideas, babysit for someone, go to the park and hang out with other kids in the neighborhood. Just do something for someone! This sounds temporary.
If it is all the time even when your friends are around you, then seek therapy help.Is there someone that you can reach out to in regards to support and getting help? Sometimes it can help to talk to someone and tell them about what you are going through.

Please know that there are people who can and will help you with what you are going through, such as a hotline crisis counselor, school counselor, a therapist, a trusted adult, relative or a friend. Someone that can help you talk with your parents about seeking therapy services to help you with your mental health concerns.
You may want to consider talking with a counselor at a hotline. There are many hotlines that are 24/7 and will work with you and situations like yours. Some even have email and/or chat if you would prefer. Hopefully, you will continue to reach out!

Thank you so much for reaching out! It takes a great deal of courage to be able to tell people how you feel.

No. It is not. Stop dwelling on what she has and be happy with what You DO.
Material things don't mean anything. Try doing volunteer work and see how much you really DO Have.

Jealousy

It's normal.

  • Why does Netflix keep pausing and playing over and over? I'm using it on my iphone 4. And I have checked my connections over and over I've uninstalled reinstalled, signed in signed back and everything else that the troubleshoot website has recommend. And it's gotten annoying. It didn't start doing this as much until I updated the app before the ios 7 release. I'm currently using the trial for netflix and my laptop doesn't work so I can get it on anything but my phone.
  • Where can I go to watch devil may cry episodes online free on my iPhone? Everywhere I go online it says that I need adobe flash. But the iPhone does not use and can't use adobe flash because it uses silverlight. Or it says that I have to pay some type of fee
