Is it possible to restore a playlist which was deleted in an iPhone sync?

I deleted a large playlist itunes playlist by accident, including many playlist folders.

I connected the phone to sync, and I noticed that the playlist which I wanted to put back onto the phone actually got removed. I understand completely why this happened (the laptop was also being sync'd by the phone).

I clicked revert as I noticed it, but nothing happened, I then removed the phone, but of course nothing.

Is there a way to restore iTunes to an earlier time? I do have a group of old library files which I had been saving as backups more than 3 months ago. The playlist from then would be missing a few new additions, but it would be better than nothing. If I can't restore iTunes to an earlier date, is there any way to transfer the playlist from that older iTunes file to my new one?

Do you have an iCloud account? You need to see if you have an older backup. Erase the phone and setup from iCloud backup there. Or do you have an older iTunes backup elsewhere in iTunes? Hopefully you have one of these. Best luck.
