Is it possible to use a wireless router but have my mac wired to it?

I have a mac and ps3 that i wanna keep wired to the router, but my ipad and phone wireless. Can i use a wireless router to keep my ps3 and mac wired and my ipad and iphone wireless?

As long as the router has wired ports, you can do this.

Yes. My desktop computer I'm on here now is
running with an ethernet cable from my router.
All other devices in the house are running on Wi-Fi.
Just hook an etherhet cable to a port on the back
of the router and connect it to your computer.

Yes.

  • What is the best wireless router to use? We're using Teksavvy cable Internet which requires you to buy a router. We're supporting 2 Xbox 360's, blackberry, 2 iPhones (4s), iPad, and a desktop computer. I need something that will allow me to use all, and be cost effective. I don't want to spend another fortune.
