Is it possible to use your iphone as a remote for your Wii Youtube app?

Like how you can do it on the ps3. Can you use an iphone like a remote for the youtube channel on the Wii. The normal console, not the Wii U. Is there a way to pair them up?

I think you're a little confused, an iphone is not compatible with a ps3 so not able to synch to one and the wii does not have a youtube app.
The ps3 does have a youtube app and its the same app as any smartphone uses, they use the same app on an iphone, a google phone, a ps3 or a psvita and it links to your youtube page, so if you use it on anything it's no different, it. The same as if you signed into youtube on a pc and then on another one or used your e-mail account on any device it still uses the same account data

the wii app is similar to the one on the ps3 with changes to the interface and how it synchs to your youtube account but it still uses your youtube page and anything you add to your playlist or upload will be the same whether done using a wii, iphone or any other device, but it's a very basic app on the wii so lacks a lot of the features you'll have on your ipjone and ps3. I prefer the psvita app personally over the wii or even the ps3 because its the same as your smartphone version in every way.

Answerer #1: the iOS YouTube app and the PS3 YouTube app can talk to each other.

Questioner: A similar functionality may exist in a future update of the YouTube app (and I hope to hell there's one, the current one blows), but since the GamePad is meant to be your "mobile" device to control it, I doubt it.

I'm baffled that both Answerer 1 and 2 are TC's and managed to incorrectly answer the question.

Unfortunately, the YouTube remote feature seems to only be available on the PS3 and Xbox 360. You can't use it with your Wii console, since the function isn't available.

  • Wi-Fi thru iphone want use with wii? I have Wi-Fi thru my iphone as a hotspot and it works great with my other devices but is not with the wii. It will notice it as an option to select but for some reason is not recognizing my security password. Is there something I'm missing? I go to setup a new wireless device find my iphone in the list of options but when put in password it gives me an error message. Any ideas?
  • Why won't my iphone hotspot connect to my wii? I have an iphone 5 and I keep trying to connect it to my Nintendo wii with the hotspot, but every time I input my password and I keep getting error code 51330 which means my password is wrong, but it's right! I know it is, I have put it in several times and changed it. Whenever I do something or mess with settings the error code changes.
  • Should I get a Wii U even if I have a Nintendo Wii? I can't really decide on what I want for christmas and I have lots of money saved but I do not need anything expensive such as an iPhone but I'm giving the opportunity to get the new wii u for christmas if I'm that sure if I want it! But the question is, is it worth getting if I already still have a Nintendo Wii?
  • Lego harry potter for wii and iphone? So I have lego harry potter years 1-4 and 5-7 on my iphone. I loved 1-4 but hated 5-7. I don't like the way its set up and everything. But I'm considering getting them for the wii. So I was wondering how are the wii version? Is it easy and fun? Is it worth it? And how much is it alike and different from the iphone versions. Also is it closer to 1-4 or 4-7?
