Is It Safe To SellMy Broken iPhone On eBay?

I dropped my iphone in the toilet a few months ago and its completely fried, and is no use to me anymore so i thought id sell it to some on on ebay for parts… Etc and make some easy cash.

Even though its completely dead (to my knowledge) is there any way some one could buy it and give it to a technical whiz can 'get' into it and see all my old personal data.
i know you can reset iphones and delete everything off them but as i said before its broken and it won't turn on or connect to iTunes

sure you can. Fortunately eBay has made it better for people who sell these types of items. When listing your item on eBay, under condition choose "not working, or for parts" and in the description explain exactly what happened and write a true description. There are a lot of people selling broken electronics and more buying them, fixing them and reselling them. Just make sure you tell exactly what happened and take good pictures.
and since it is broken you can sell it AS-IS, yet make sure your description is accurate otherwise buyer can still return it if something is not as described.
