Is it true that your typical keyboard user should be able to type faster than the typical user that's communicating with a touchpad?

I've been told that someone with a keyboard on average will be able to type faster than your typical user who uses a touchpad on their phone; however, I'm able to type at 90 words per minute on my iPhone, which generally reduces to about 75 whenever I type on a keyboard. So, which is the faster method for online chatting overall?

Practice matters. You apparently have more practice on your iPhone. So that's the one for you

Keyboard will be faster for most people on average. Average just means most people, you are obviously not average. Regardless if you are using the auto-complete feature to increase your wpm it's not a fair comparison since you could enable that on any keyboard device.

I can use this wireless mouse app on my iPhone though. I can use the keyboard and click the mouse buttons. It's just the touchpad. I have an Asus G51V.
