Is it worth dropping Netflix and getting Hulu?
I think Hulu wins me over in terms of content as I'm more of a TV show person. And Netflix is starting to lose my interest because they are slowly replacing all their content with their own exclusive shows and movies. Don't get me wrong, I think Netflix has some great exclusive content. But I don't want that to be the ONLY thing they have and from the way things looks, it seems as though they are headed in that direction. Not to mention their $2 price increase doesn't further convince me to stick with them.
My only gripe with Hulu is that I heard it doesn't support 5.1 audio on my Roku, so everything will be sent via 2.0 to my receiver. So no more surround sound for me. And also, I don't think Hulu allows you to download their content on your iPhone app and watch offline. I really like that feature on Netflix as I sometimes watch video when I'm at the gym or on a very long commute.
Does anyone here feel that Netflix is worth dropping and replacing it with Hulu?
Get both
Why not both? Even combined cost is still way cheaper compared to cable.
I've tried Netflix and nothing bad to say.
I never tried Hulu.
They are basically the same with different shows.
Hulu is cheaper.
As a person who does not waste time with TV. I'd pick Hulu cuz of the price.
I have both. I mostly prefer Netflix. I pay extra to get the version of Hulu with no commercials (the cheaper plan gives you commercials that you can't skip), but there are still some programs with commercials at the beginning, which I find incredibly frustrating. I'm already paying extra for the service, so I shouldn't have to still see commercials. Also, check and make sure the programming you're looking for isn't available only on Hulu Live, which costs even more.
I do agree that Hulu has more TV shows. But they've structured things in such a way that their service can be really aggravating. I watch it mostly for their original programming (Runaways is good), and a few TV series not available on Netflix or Amazon Prime.
It depends on what you want. Hulu is best for time shifting broadcast tv. But Netflix is better for movies
- Why does Netflix keep pausing and playing over and over? I'm using it on my iphone 4. And I have checked my connections over and over I've uninstalled reinstalled, signed in signed back and everything else that the troubleshoot website has recommend. And it's gotten annoying. It didn't start doing this as much until I updated the app before the ios 7 release. I'm currently using the trial for netflix and my laptop doesn't work so I can get it on anything but my phone.
- Why Can't I Login to Hulu Plus? My family and I have Hulu Plus through our Apple TV. We had Netflix for quite some time and it worked both on Apple TV and on all our devices.iPhones, iPods, iPads, iMac, you name it we could watch Netflix on it. For some reason we can't use the Hulu Plus app on anything other than Apple TV, and the website says "Invalid Username or Password:. ANYONE KNOW WHAT'S UP?
- What is the best iphone 5 case with extra battery, and cushion for dropping it? I got a Mophie but I was wondering if there was any other brands that offered a screen protector, cushioning for dropping, waterproof if possible, and has the best battery extension. I saw Max Boost. Is there any others? I'm most concerned with cushioning, and the battery extension and charging. I haven't heard of one that has all of them.
- What do I need to get Hulu or Netflix? I want to get rid of cable and get Hulu Plus or Netflix. I don't have internet or a computer. I know I need internet and I have a iphone 5. What speed internet do I need and do I need Wi-Fi? Your talking to a dummy when it comes to technics stuff. Can someone take me through the steps?
